Planning tool only

Backyard Planner provides rough planning estimates based on public 2026 data for the greater Houston area and nearby communities. It is not a quote, contract, or professional engineering, legal, accounting, or financial advice. Actual project costs vary significantly by neighborhood, site conditions, season, and contractor.

Verify locally

Always obtain multiple written quotes from licensed local contractors (TDLR / TCEQ where applicable) and confirm permit requirements with your city, county, MUD, or HOA before starting any work.

Contractor listings & leads

Backyard Planner does not vet, endorse, guarantee, or supervise any contractor who registers on the platform or receives a lead. Homeowners are solely responsible for checking licensing, insurance, references, and contracts before hiring.

Payments

One-time PDF unlocks and Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew until you cancel from the billing page. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

No warranty · Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Backyard Planner and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the estimates, materials lists, contractor introductions, or other content on the site.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
